12 Things You Need To Know About The Merciless Attack Of A Lagos Estate By Militants.



1. The gunmen were allegedly the Ijaw militants

2. They specifically attack an estate call Pacific Estate situated in Ikejiobi Avenue, Ewedogbon, in the Igando area of Lagos. 



3. The militant invaded the estate around  6am through the waterways behind the estate.

4. A team of Nigerian police from Igando division arrived the place at 8.00am after the case was reported.

5. For complete 7 hours the militants engage the police in gun shots in which 3 policemen and 2 residents where shot.

6. Before the arrival of the police, the militants have abducted some residents but they regained their freedom when the bandits were exchanging bullets with police.



7. The bandits also looted foods and other items from shops in the estate.

8. The militants had earlier on Saturday attacked Fatoki community, a very close area to this estate.

9. The militants vandalized some vehicles in the streets of the estate.

10. By 2.00pm some residents mostly women and children have started leaving the estate premises while soldiers searched them as they are leaving.

11. Even about 3 females ware among the militants and all including their male counterpart did not cover their faces.

12. A policeman who happened to be among those who went to the waterside to challenge the bandits, suspected that they must be Ijaw militants.
